Outlook The sessions breadth more advancers than decliners and the lift in resource-related stocks suggest commodity-linked sectors were the primary driver of the ASXs gains. Investors will watch whether strength in metals and mining persists, and how moves in oil, gold and the US dollar influence sector flows in coming sessions.
For now, the S&P/ASX 200s advance to a one-month high and the drop in the VIX point to a modestly improved risk tone across the Australian market as trade closed.
